The forthcoming single from Teddy Killerz, Monkey Kingdom, is the second from their forthcoming LP Nightmare Street, a sonic, cartoonish glimpse into the world of the Ukrainian and Russia production trio. Their debut album on the Ram Records/BMG imprint will be released in Spring 2017, an exciting period for any drum & bass fan who’s been eagerly anticipating their next few steps.
A digital exclusive, Monkey Kingdom epitomises what Teddy Killerz have achieved throughout their decorated career. Having a plethora of releases already on the likes of OWSLA, Bad Taste and Ram’s sister-label Program, they’ve reached a diverse audience and have managed to tap into a huge spectrum of music. They were further pushed into the spotlight by their remix of Skrillex and Ragga Twin’s Ragga bomb, as well as working on Modestep’s London Road and their monumental rework of Make Those Move by I Am Legion (comprising of Noisia and Foreign Beggars), which reached the number one drum & bass spot on Beatport for six consecutive weeks.
Monkey Kingdom begins with the intimidating, quaking bass which Teddy Killerz are renowned for. With robotic sample filtering through the intro and crunching distortion leading you into its climatic drop, the track grits its teeth underneath amongst stocky subs and pounding drum loops. It’s a weighty glimpse into what’s next from the producers, proving their forthcoming LP will be one of their biggest releases to date.
Teddy Killerz stand as one of the most exciting names across the electronic genres and this next single goes to highlight their journey over the past few years.
