More.Antonio Cano & Jose Luis Vazquez – aka ‘Dub Elements’ – first caused a stir in the world of Drum and Bass when they stormed on to scene in 2009. Since then, the Spanish duo has gained a reputable name for themselves with their distinctly unique sound and infectious basslines. Gaining support from some of the industry’s biggest names including Chris Renegade, Spor, Excision and Viper’s own Futurebound, the producers have enjoyed huge success after appearing on prestigious labels such as Viper Recordings, Eatbrain, C4C Recordings, Hospital Records, and more.
No strangers to playing out to audiences across the globe, Dub Elements have entertained fans at some of the world’s biggest bass music clubs and festivals. With two Viper tracks already in the bag with ‘Real Dogs’ gracing Viper’s ‘Summer Slammers 2016’ and ‘Grand’ featuring on the ‘Viper Drum & Bass Annual 2016’, the new year is already looking huge for the duo as they line up new single ‘Heartbeat / Bad Guy’ on Viper VIP.
‘Heartbeat’ shows us from the get-go that Dub Elements mean serious business. Gearing up the action with a dark and murky feel as a sinister intro builds suspense, the producers use heavy, mechanised riffs paired with snappy drums to keep crowds on their feet long in to the early hours.
On the flip, ‘Bad Guy’ keeps up the tempo by coming through with an unforgiving mix of rolling basslines, driving hooks and powerful vocal samples. If there was any sliver of doubt remaining about these guys’ ability to lay down a game-changing dancefloor smasher – this tune just cancelled it.
‘Heartbeat / Bad Guy’ does everything to prove the sheer quality of Dub Elements’ song writing skills and influence on the dancefloor, as the producers continue to go from strength to strength with every project.
