RAM Records Teddy Killerz - Teddy Killerz Adventures / Upgrade - Won't Hold Back / Original Sin

Having dropped their debut album ‘Nightmare Street’ plus a slew of other releases on RAM, the trio known as Teddy Killerz return to the label with the ‘Teddy Killerz Adventures’ EP. They aren’t alone either: Raiser joins proceedings on the rowdy ‘Dinosaur Bass’ while Nais pops up twice on ‘Broken’ and ‘Ready To Move.’ The guys hold things down themselves on the steppy ‘Party Move,’ which keeps up the pace nicely. It’s welcome return from Europe’s favourite Killerz, with four cuts sure to do serious damage.

Currently tearing his way through drum & bass, Upgrade isn’t unfamiliar to RAM. Prior appearances in 2015 and 2016 offered a more musical side to Upgrade’s production, veering from his now high-octane, signature jump up style. His debut single ‘Won’t Hold Back’ is a merging of both those worlds. Vocals - provided by the man himself - are layered over jazzy piano chords before they distort into a driving high-end melody and energetic drums. ‘Won’t Hold Back’ is something a little unexpected from Upgrade, and makes a fresh addition to the label’s ever growing catalogue.

Original Sin’s ‘Inertia’ started in 2019 in a fairly rowdy manner. Picking up where he left off, the UK based producer and DJ returns to Ram Records with his follow up single ‘Animal’. This has found its way into Andy C’s set introductions of late, and it’s a certified heavyweight. The cinematic intro draws you in; again giving his track a movie score atmosphere before throttling you with a militant drum heavy groove and gnarled bassline. The title ‘Animal’ is somewhat appropriate here; this is an undisputed beast of a tune.
